This shockwave movie will play a sound and show the wave form on an oscilloscope.
To play a sound click on any of the buttons on the bottom. Each button represents a different frequency. To reset the oscilloscope just click on the reset button. To play different volumes select any volume on the side.
You can turn off the sound at any time if you like by clicking on the sound button. To turn it on just click on the sound button again. Clicking on a new sound will turn the volume back on.
Watch for the relationship between the freqency of the wave and the pitch of the sound produced, and the amplitude of the wave and the volume of the sound produced.
